About Frenchy

He spent is life inspired by the adventour and promise of the imported hash of the late 60's into France. Frenchy lived nomadically for over 20 years staying with traditional producers and learning techniques handed down over generations. Traveling from Morocco to Mexico to Pakistan and India where he learned to harvest cannabis resin then eventually settled in California where he was legally allowed to show his life's work and produce legal cannabis concentrates.

Known as the teacher of the "lost art of the Hashinhin' his seminars and followers of dedicated are in the 100'000 over the years. This hash with his name is an example of what a true hash can be when the best techniques are followed.

The Frenchy Story

Frenchy Cannoli dedicated much of his life to hashish—not simply smoking it, but understanding where it came from and preserving the traditional techniques behind it.

Inspired by the imported hash that made its way into France during the late 1960s, Frenchy spent decades travelling and living alongside traditional hash makers. His journey took him through places including Morocco, Pakistan, India and Nepal, learning firsthand how generations of producers harvested, separated and worked cannabis resin into hash.

Eventually settling in California, Frenchy became one of the modern cannabis world's most recognizable advocates for traditional hash making. Rather than keeping that knowledge to himself, he taught it. His workshops, demonstrations and educational material introduced an entirely new generation of hash makers to techniques that had been refined over centuries.

His philosophy was refreshingly simple: start with exceptional resin, respect the material, and let time, temperature, pressure and skilled hands do the work.

Made Here, With Love

This Cannoli Hash is made right here in Canada using techniques inspired by the methods Frenchy spent his life learning, refining and teaching. It isn't hash made by Frenchy Cannoli, nor are we suggesting it is. Think of it instead as part of the legacy he helped leave behind—a Canadian producer taking traditional hash making seriously and putting in the time and care to do it properly.

Cannoli is dense but beautifully creamy once worked, with the rich resinous texture that makes good hash almost as enjoyable to handle as it is to smoke. Warm it between your fingers and it becomes wonderfully workable, releasing a deep, spicy, room-filling aroma that immediately feels old-school.
